Byram Township Historical Society presents Greater Byram & Morris Canal History Day at Waterloo Village. Saturday, June 22. 10am-4pm. Info will be updated here: https://canalsocietynj.org/

Waterloo Village, in the 19th Century, was part of Byram that included what is now Stanhope and Hopatcong Boroughs, and was approximately half-way along the Morris Canal’s 102-mile journey across the state, from Phillipsburg to Jersey City, and had all the components necessary to become a thriving canal town. For many, today’s restored Waterloo Village is the place that most completely identifies the heritage of northern New Jersey, with Byram at its center.

Visit Historic Waterloo Village for a full day of things to see and do.

Waterloo Village is located at 525 Waterloo Road in Byram Township (Stanhope)
