Description
The Byram Township Historical Society is pleased to invite you to our first event in 2023 to kick off the year-long celebration of Byram Township’s 225th Anniversary.
Please join us at Founders Day – a friendly get-together to celebrate the 225th anniversary of the founding of Byram Township when it separated from Newton Township and held its first election on April 9, 1798.
Come enjoy delicious food, honor Byram Township’s past, meet others from the community and just have fun!
Sunday, April 2nd from 6:30-9:30 PM
at Waterloo Village Meeting House, 525 Waterloo Road, Stanhope, NJ
$45 per person
The gathering will take place at the rustic, iconic Waterloo Village Meeting House and feature an impersonator of the town’s first elected “Moderator,” Jephthah Byram. Current Township officials and other attendees are encouraged to wear period costumes to get in the spirit. Jeffery A. Miller Catering will provide hors d’oeuvres, soft drinks, coffee and dessert. A cash bar will be available.
Please help us by purchasing tickets by Monday, March 20th.
We hope that you can join us for a unique sociable evening at the BTHS Founders Day event on April 2, 2023!
